Playoffs Take a Break; Woods Enters
THE TOUR Championship as Overall Leader


The PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup are winding down, with Tiger Woods taking his position atop the standings into an off week prior to the final tournament of the Playoffs, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola.
Woods, with a reset point total of 2,500, leads Steve Stricker by 250 points. Woods led after the first week of the Playoffs before Stricker moved past him. Woods regained the lead after his eight-stroke victory last week at the BMW Championship. Jim Furyk, Zach Johnson and Heath Slocum hold down the third, fourth and fifth positions in the standings. Along with Woods and Stricker, all five players can win the FedExCup with a victory in Atlanta.
THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola is set for East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, beginning Sept. 24.
