Countdown to SHO
Chevron World Challenge - November 28, 2011

A field of 16 players tee off Thursday in the $5 million Chevron World Challenge at at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA. Hosted by Tiger Woods, the 72-hole event will be televised by The Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday with NBC Sports bringing the weekend action.

Heavy wind predicted this week should make both events a solid test.

The PGA TOUR Qualifying School Finals are set in La Quinta, CA at the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course and PGA West Stadium Course. Of local interest: 1998 Shell Houston Open David Duval, The Woodlands' Bobby Gates and Texas veteran Omar Uresti are trying to retain playing privileges.
